We are pleased to offer the following publications from the Portsmouth Workers Education Association Local History Group. This is a splendid series entitled "Memories …..", covering various areas of Portsmouth. They contain fascinating detail of the streets and houses within the area using early records from Portsmouth Record Office. The books also include personal stories from inhabitants of the area, as do the more general books about wartime and work experiences. They are an invaluable source of social history and detailed observation of daily life mainly from the 1920s and 30s, but also 40s and 50s.

The information on this page supersedes all previous publication lists.
